Dementia Signposting

Our first job was to provide a central point of information covering Dementia Support on our website. This will be used to provide signposting to groups and promote services provided by specific support organisations across the three counties of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, helping to promote wellbeing and support to patients.

Building Update

Our second job is to look at our building. As repairs and renewals are planned within the Surgery building, the Patient Group and Practice Manager will work through the Dementia Friendly Physical environment checklist, to ensure the changes enhance the building for patients and their carers living with dementia. The Practice Manager and Patient Group are meeting in January 2018 to scope the building to look at signage, lighting and navigation. We will also look at ways to improve the physical environment at this meeting.
